Kayuna® is prefinished with 8 layers of Nanotec® coating to enhance the timber’s natural features and give optimal wear protection.
Taber abrasion tests performed on our products show that our products can be classified in the higher end of the scale and are very hard-wearing. This is due to the 8 layers of high-tech, factory applied UV cured durable coating: NANOTEC.
Our heavy duty coatings make Kayuna recommended for high traffic domestic and commercial applications (see warranty terms and conditions).
What Is Nanotec®?
Nanotec is the latest technology in durable coatings for timber floors. Traditional Alu Oxide coatings are very hard to re-sand and can leave stain marks due to migration from iron objects (e.g. legs of coffee tables). Nanotec avoids those problems. A very hard-wearing coating that allows re-sanding of your timber floor.
Nanotec® Ultra Coating Technology uses the latest technology of cross linked nano particles in UV coatings.
Optimal Protection
Nanotec® gives your floor optimal protection against daily wear & tear. The multi staged UV cured coating gives longer protection against fading and does not yellow. Your floor will look more beautiful much longer.
Flexible
Nanotec® is a very flexible coating. On impact or during contraction and expansion of the timber floor, Nanotec® moves along in equal proportion thus avoiding hairline cracks like most other coatings do.
Nanotec® gives optimal protection against moisture penetration during care & maintenance and keeps the floor looking beautiful longer.
Multi Staging
Nanotec® ultra coating is applied in stages during the production process in order to guarantee an optimal adhesion and smooth finish. Between stages every layer of the coating is UV hardened for optimal durability and wear resistance making it much harder than non-staged coatings.
Wear Resistant
The durability of Nanotec® coating is unrivalled. The wearability of Nanotec® is up to 6 times higher than most other coatings and is backed up by a 25 year wear warranty (*).
Very Transparent Finish
Nanotec® is a very transparent finish. All natural features and the colour of the timber will appear as nature intended. No yellowing or blurring of the coating will appear. Your floor will look stunning much longer.
Easy Maintenance
Due to the fine nano structure of the coating, dust and dirt build-up on the floor will be greatly prevented. The extra smooth coating makes cleaning and maintenance extra easy and quick.
